I think its close to catching the 360 and the Wii sales are slowing whereas the PS3's are growing...
Nintendo will announce the Wii 2 at next years E3 i believe...
M$ big advantage is price.
But how low can they go?
Sony have a lot of room. At such a high price point, they have a lot of room to cost cut. M$ don't. They've pretty much played that card - and STILL the PS3 is catching.

I find myself playing games i normally would have taken back to the shop for longer than it takes me to realize i don't like it.
Secondly, they make me play the game in a certain way, unstead of allowing me to play the game i want to.
I know ahievements are optional, but i feel compelled to go for them.
I wish M$ would allow use to hide our gamerscore... It would be like a key to the shackles around my ankle...
better conversation system and more to do than hack 'n' slash.
Its boring after the first few hours...
This will be the 3rd game, thats like 90+ hours of repetitive hacking through ememies.
Games like Oblivion, fallout 3, mass effect have so much more going for them...
It looks nicer than the genesis games, but that all.

How have you improved xbox LIVE by removing players from xbox originals? What have you implemented since may that would have been impossible without booting those players of your servers? HUH?!
Trust me bots, one day M$ will boot you off of xbox LIVE from playing your xbox 360 games, they may even prevent you from playing your arcade games online or from redownloading them.
This sets a bad precedent for futher shaftings by M$...
except blu-ray that is...
I went from playing very restricted, RPG's like Fable, and KOTOR to a huge amazingly detailed open-world like the one in Elder Scrolls IV.
I would love the option to played Elder Scrolls V in co-op with a friend. Drop in, drop out co-op like the type you find in crackdown and borderlands...
And we'll forget!

The 720 is probably a couple of years away, it depends on Kinect, and how successful that is.
The PS3 is the most future proof. Its has every next gen feature but graphics. I could easily see the PS3 last another 3 years or more...
but what did they learn from the orginal xbox? They unleanred good hardware. They unlearned standard HDD's with every console...
In some respects, the xbox 360 was a step backward from the first xbox.
Even the new xbox 360 doesn't come with a standard hard drive...
